Creating Staff Users with Access to your Ingram Micro Cloud Reseller Account

If you have additional users, such as staff members, who need to access your Ingram Micro Cloud reseller account, you can create new user credentials for them. New users must be created through the Ingram Micro Portal.

Note: Only the administrator of the account can create new users. If you do not have access to the user creation button, contact the administrator of the reseller account.

There are three steps to create your new users:

Step 1: Create user in the Ingram Micro Portal

Step 2: Activate the new user’s account in the Cloud Marketplace

Step 3: Log in to your Reseller Control Panel to retrieve the user credentials

 

Step 1: Create user in the Ingram Micro Portal

      1)    In your browser, navigate to the URL below that corresponds with your geographical location.

      2)    Log in using your Cloud Marketplace reseller credentials.

      3)    Click My Account in the menu at the top of the page.

      4)    In the left-hand-side menu, click User Administration.

Note: If you cannot see the User Administration button, you do not have the correct permissions to add a new user. Please contact your account administrator who can add a user.

      5)    Click Add a New User.

      6)    Fill in the required 'Contact Information' (indicated by the *)

      7)  Set privileges for the new user

Note: Based on the tasks you expect this user to perform select between: 'Basics', 'Support', 'Purchasing' or 'All'. Screenshot below shows all the tasks this user can perform if given 'All' privileges.

8)  A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you entered, containing the temporary password.

      9)    Go back to the portal URL (also contained in the email) and log in using the new username and temporary password.

      10)    Agree to the Terms and Conditions and click Submit.

      11)   Set a new password and click OK.

Step 2: Activate the new user’s account in the Cloud Marketplace

      12)   Now, use the new credentials to log in to the Cloud Marketplace at the correct URL below for your location:

13)  You will be prompted to activate a user account. After you complete this step, the new user will be added to the Reseller Control Panel.

      14)   Fill in the required fields and click Place Order to finish activating the account.

Step 3: Log in to your Reseller Control Panel to retrieve the user credentials.

      15)   Log in to the Reseller Control Panel using your reseller credentials, and click on Billing at the top, right-hand side. If the link says Operations, you don’t need to click it.

      16)  In the menu on the left-hand side, click Users.

17)  The new user appears in the list.


      18)  Take note of the Login name.

      19)   Click on the Login name of the new user, and change the password by clicking Change Password at the bottom of the page.

This completes the process for setting up a new Reseller Control Panel user. These credentials can now be used to log in to the Reseller Control Panel.
