How to: Customize Your In-panel Marketplace

The in-panel Marketplace can be customized to display service plans the way you like such as grouping similar service plans and placing them in categories or sub-categories, etc.

Before you begin, ensure that service plans you want to use meet the following pre-requisites (click on the links to learn more):

·         Do service plans have atleast one active plan period?

·         Are service plans published?

Once you have confirmed the above you can create sales categories.

Sales categories will need to meet the following requirements to be displayed in the in-panel Marketplace:

·         Do sales categories have ‘Expand Category’ and ‘Display Category in Customer Control Panel’ options enabled?

 

Creating Sales Categories

IMPORTANT! Sales Categories cannot have a combination of sub-categories and service plans, only sub-category(s) or service plan(s).

1) Log in to your Reseller Control Panel (RCP)

2) Switch to ‘Billing’

3) From the left-side menu options, select Products > Service Plans

4) On the ‘Service Plans’ page, select ‘Sales Categories’ tab

5) Under ‘Sales Categories’, click on the Add Sales Category button

6) On the ‘Add Sales Category’ page enter all the required fields (indicated by *) and click the Save button

The following is a brief description of some of the important fields:

 

1) Category Name: A unique label for the sales category.

 

2) Description for Online Store: A brief description of the products available under this category.

 

3) Expand Category: Enables the sales category to appear in NextCP.

 

4) Display Category in Customer Control Panel: Enables the sales category to appear in NextCP.

 

5) Parent Category/Position in Parent Category: If you leave these fields empty, the new sales category will automatically be a parent/root category.

 If you have indicated the position of the category within the parent category this configures the order of its appearance (in ascending order so a sub-category with 2 will appear before another sub-category with 3).

6) Click the Save button

7) You will receive a confirmation message that the category was successfully created

 

The new sales category will be visible on the Sales Category page:

 

How to: Assign a Service Plan to a Sales Category

1) Log in to your Reseller Control Panel (RCP)

2) Switch to ‘Billing’

3) From the left-side menu options, select Products > Service Plans
